I am a Russophile with a soft spot for Germans. I like Russian literature and Hunter S. Thompson and a good bit of satire. I am in love with ridiculousness and absurdity, and pushing jokes beyond bad taste. I adore the word 'quaint', but I try not to overuse it - it is usually saved for attempts at explaining the English, along with 'repression', another favourite (I did study psychology, after all). My favourite colour is emerald green and I rather like Jack Daniel's or White Russians. I am eighteen going on fifty, and I'm going to be a history teacher; there's just no fighting it.

Unfortunately not. I am preparing myself for the life of a student with lie-ins and Pot Noodle. I spend my time at home crying over verb tables and the subjunctive mood.

The genitive case (I like it because in German you get to change the noun, and in Russian with masculine nouns you get 'ov', which is just the best thing), underwear (a terrible and all-consuming obsession), singing (blues and a little jazz), shimmying it on down (best undertaken with gay best friends), laughing until I cry (often the result of Peep Show), and Monopoly.
